Two years before TvPoll was created, Bill Shapard and Keith Gaddie inadvertantly collaborated.  In October 2004, Reps. Tom Coburn (R) and Brad Carson (D) were locked in a tight battle for the open US Senate seat from Oklahoma.  Bill's SoonerPoll-- pollster for the Tulsa World -- had published a recent survey on the contest.  Keith was editing a popular political blog, SoonerPolitics.com.  When CNN found Bill's survey and Keith's commentary, they decided to put the two products together on an edition of "CNN's Capital Gang."

In 2006, Bill called Keith and proposed developing TvPoll as an innovative vehicle for providing quality public opinion research to media outlets.  The rest is history . . .
