Presidential Horse Race Week Five

OKLA. CITY – The Vice Presidential debates had little affect on Oklahoma voters; McCain is in the lead in Oklahoma by 36 points.

TvPoll.com conducted the scientific study using an IVR technique of 801 likely voters in Oklahoma October 4-5, 2008. The study has a margin of error of ± 3.46% and was weighted by sex, age, congressional district and political party.

Oklahoma is still planning to vote for John McCain (R) over Barack Obama (D) in four weeks on Election Day. McCain is ahead of his opponent by 36 points.

This race has changed little from Week 4 outside the margin of error proving that the Vice Presidential debates, held two days before the poll for Week 5 opened, did little to change Oklahoma voters’ minds.

TvPoll.com will continue the weekly tracking poll in Oklahoma through the election for its media client, News9 (CBS-Oklahoma City).
