OKLA. CITY – McCain (R) holds a steady 31-point lead in the race for President. The race for U.S. Senate, on the other hand, has narrowed from a 28-point to a 13-point spread with Inhofe (R) remaining in the lead.
Week 7 shows 3 people providing incumbent Roth (D) with a possible win for short-term Corporation Commission and Jeff Cloud (R) leads the long-term race by double-digits.
TvPoll.com conducted the scientific study using an IVR technique of 763 likely voters in Oklahoma October 18-19, 2008. The study has a margin of error of ± 3.51% and was weighted by sex, age, congressional district and political party.
In a crosstab comparing candidate support among the two Corporation Commission races, voters planning support for Jeff Cloud may be more than twice as likely to cross party lines and vote for Roth on Election Day rather than Murphy.
TvPoll.com will continue the weekly tracking poll in Oklahoma through the election for its media client, News9 (CBS-Oklahoma City).
