McCain holds a 38-point lead in Oklahoma - Week One

OKLA CITY – In the most recent survey of likely voters in Oklahoma, McCain holds a 38-point lead; plus Republicans further down the ballot are enjoying McCain’s lead including Corporation Commissioner Republican candidate Dana Murphy who is ahead of Democratic incumbent Jim Roth. The results also seem to indicate that Oklahomans are upset about negative Palin media coverage and believe McCain can fix the economy.

TvPoll.com conducted the scientific study using an IVR technique of 894 likely voters in Oklahoma September 7, 2008. The study has a margin of error of ± 3.27% and was weighted by sex, age, congressional district and political party.

TvPoll.com will continue the weekly tracking poll in Oklahoma through the election for its media client, News9 (CBS-Oklahoma City).
